BSC will be having a charity event this coming week at Business School Concourse from 12pm-6pm (Mon-Fri), whereby we are raising funds by selling badges designed by our committee at $2 & pretty instant photographs of you guys sealed with hand-drawn frames @ $3 each (everybody take and everybody buy. fair. haha.), taken at the BSC booth, for Charity - Make-A-Wish Foundation. All proceeds will go to the foundation. So come on down and do your part for charity!

Tomorrow will be your first day of school in TP! *do waves*

It'll be a whole new environment for you guys! Don't be afraid of anything, do what you did in FO, just go out and make friends. Your classmates or schoolmates (especially freshies like you) will be glad to receive warm smiles from people they do not know, and hellos from you guys. If anybody asks why you so friendly, say your FOLKEN GLS teach one ok? :) HAHAHAHHAHA.

Anyway, as you've seen from FOW/FOC and the Regatta event on Friday, TP is a campus that is full of vibrancy, awesome people and FUN FUN FUN! Hope that in your future 3 years in TP, you will not forget that. And join in events that TPSU or your school have organised. Remember these 3 years shouldn't be just about studying. TP is not just about studying, it is about a jam-packed social calendar as well!

Don't worry, we will organise an outing really really soon so that we all can meet up. I bet you guys miss each other like crazy, like how the GLs miss you too! We also wanna really have a chance to talk and bond with you guys like we never had in FO.

Last but not least, FO is over, but Folken is not. It is still right in here *points to heart* and if you guys want it, Folken can and will last! Through outings and chalet (OMG!!!) we will not be GLs and freshies anymore, we will be FRIENDS. :D And after FRIENDS, guess what.... ONE BIG FAMILYYYYYY! *do handsign*

Alright firstly, thank you all who came down to school today! It was a fun meetup although we were just sitting around in school. Hope you all will revise our Folken cheers and do alittle homework regarding the locations, remember? And also, remember to wash the shirts okay! :)

Secondly, for all those who couldn't join us today, it's alright! :) I'm going to post all the announcements regarding FO here! So read carefully, and take note. And regarding the money for the shirts/identities, please bring them during FO and pass it to Huiyi. All of your shirts are in the lounge and I will give it to you all on Day 1, 5th April, Monday.

YAY! The chalet is over and I'm super tired right now but it was all worth it :D I bet all those who've stayed over are deprived of sufficient sleep as for now!

Anyway, thanks folks for making the event a success! For those who couldn't attend the chalet, it's alright, there'll be more outings/another chalet in the future :)

A big thank you for those who have helped out during this chalet in one way or another, thank you for your initiative and enthusiasm. I think most of us who stayed over have enjoyed all those funny moments we've had during the 2 nights, haha coughs adam's high'ness coughs.

Anyway, REFRESH 3 is next week!!

K another announcement is regarding Refresh 3!!

The confirmed date is on the 13th March, Saturday :)

3) BBQ FOOD FOR CHALET !

Will be ordering the fooooood for bbq by tomorrow or Monday latest.

If you have any special requests or cravings haha, please do voice them out :)

4) FO SHIRT DESIGN !

Lastly, anybody who wants to submit designs for FO shirt please do submit them by Wednesday(3rd March) afternoon? So I can put all of them together and submit them!

A few things to take note of regarding the design,

- Only one colour is to be used on a design

- Preferably just A4 size (on the shirt), no prints that will cover the whole front of the shirt etc.

- Do include "TPSU Orientation Camp 10/11" on the shirt (somewhere)

- Theme for the design is The Gathering

- Include the empire's names and 'maincomm logistics foodmin programme' somewhere on the back or front k? (Use your own FO shirt from previous years as reference regarding what to include)

Meanwhile, if you guys have any printing supplier lobang for our tshirt, please do get their contact number and get a quote from them! We will have either 3 or 4 designs, and we have ~57 people in Folken.

Regarding identity, those listed above are what we have come up with during OTC Refresh 2. So if you have any other suggestions, do leave a comment on the tagboard and it'd be best if you know where we can get the item at the cheapest price available. For the existing suggestions, let's find out the price and where we can get them too!

(For the watch, Jonathan will be going to Thailand to help us get it!)

We are going to have a chalet during our holidays in March and we'll need your cooperation in deciding which chalet to book. And we need to do it fast!!!!!

First things first~ The more people there are,the easier it is for us to afford a,what's that word...luxurious and mozzie-free environment. Yes. However, if the number is small,which shouldn't be happening in the first place,we will stick to the less expensive (more mozzies) places. I think. So here's the poll:

If you want to know what's the difference between all the chalets,I have kindly included the websites so enlighten yourself by clicking on those websites. AND YES,there's a difference between Costa Sands Pasir Ris and Costa Sands Downtown East. (I just found out too teehee)

So...after you all have voted,we will book according to attendance and your preferred choice. BUT BUT BUT,please remember that the number of people attending will affect the chalet we eventually book because of the *kaching!*

For example...-.- NSRCC will cost us about $300 for two nights, whereas Aloha Changi will only be $90 for two nights. To explain it using Math,NSRCC is about THREE times more expensive as compared to Aloha Changi,and if there's only a small group of us,it would be...kinda crazy. There are the pros (pay more: fully air conditioned) and cons (pay less: mozzies) to booking different chalets I guess,small group or not. We can discuss more during dinner. :D

OH,and everyone please come for dinner. We do pretty cool stuff during dinner,like for our last dinner...we listened to some pretty rad...well. :) *keeps you in suspense*

HEY FOLKERS (:

The long waited FOLKEN TEE DESIGNS AND UP.

AND OWNING.

Paul's designs will be posted ASAP.

he will edit them during the weekends and

the design will be even more perfect.

so will georgie.

This will the the vest concept tee-design.

Better to upload it now before i forget.

This is just a rough design. The final vest design will be done properly with measurements and all.

And from today's dinner,

most of you all have chose the bottom 3.

Poll will be out when all the designs are out!

So we will have about 3 tees?

Hello folken ♥ !

General details about the next dinner are stated above!

Attendance is compulsory, because we will need everyone to come together to discuss about the following issues:

1) Tshirt design

2) Identity

3) Chalet (?)

For our folken shirt, if you have any ideas or designs that you've come up with, please draw them on a piece of paper or use photoshop or any other methods to present to us k! Don't be shy about your designs :) Just contribute them and we'll vote for the one we like best (Y)

Regarding our identity, if you have thought of any item that can represent us or something, do find out the price as well as where we can get it. If not we'll have a major brainstorm session on Wednesday :)

Chaletttttttttttt, we'll discuss this on Wednesday after settling the above two issues :D

p.s. announcement on behalf of jane: there's a colour-code thingy on Wednesday, it's an initiative by Engine School for all TP students. And the colour is RED, so please try and wear red on Wednesday and spread the word yo!

Remember, it's on alternate mondays k! So after this dinner on the 18th Jan, the next dinner would be on 1st Feb. And if a dinner is supposedly cancelled or postponed, I will post the details here in advance k. So do check this blog from time to time to see if there are any updates :)

IT'S ON THE 3RD OF JANUARY 2010, SUNDAY.
IT WILL BE AT PALAWAN BEACH, SENTOSA.

i suggest we meet around 12pm at the entrance of the skytrain to sentosa(Vivocity) to go together.

Paul and I have started designing Folken's teeshirt ! Nope, its not too soon !

What I need you people to do is to spam what colours you want as an

identity for this cosca . Do flood the tagboard or Folken's wall on FB okayyyyy .

After all, the faster we decide, the more we won't clash colours with other coscas . =D

Hi everybody from Earth. The plan for the first outing will be a glam one. Since everyone is tired from camp, lost their voices blah blah blah . . . Let's make it a glam outing where we can enjoy the air-con and bond over dinner or something?

Choices:

1) Vivo City

2) Orchard - Whole lot of things to do

3) City Hall - Esplanade, Marina Square, Suntec, Raffles City

First post for Folken after OLTC! Folken's spirit shall never die down alright? Please put in your best effort to make sure that we make it to the top top top. Outings can be planned asap, everyone please chip in ideas! After going for outings, we can have a lot of photographs then our blog will be damn pretty with loads of pictures already!
